The International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation
is an international, non-profit, professional association organized
to develop and promote comprehensive, clinically effective
and empirically based resources and responses to trauma and dissociation
and to address its relevance to other theoretical constructs.
The Executive Council of the ISSTD makes
all major decisions and sets the direction for the organization.
Our Committees work
to carry out our mission and to suggest new directions for
the future.
Although we are primarily a professionally oriented society,
we welcome both professional and lay members.

of membership.
Education is
one of our primary goals. We work to achieve that goal partly
through training programs, conferences and
the
Journal
of Trauma and Dissociation. The ISSTD has given awards to
professionals and lay people who have contributed to the study
of trauma and dissociation and to the ISSTD. To facilitate
the education and training of graduate students, the David
Caul Graduate Research Grants were establish in memory of David
Caul, an esteemed and devoted mentor.
